Data Scientist - Credit Risk (Python-focused)


Campion Pickworth are partnering with a leading professional services firm to hire a Data Scientist into a growing analytics team.


This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, building models, and solving real-world problems using Python.


What you’ll be doing:

• Working with large, complex datasets to build and improve models

• Developing Python-based solutions to support analytics and decision-making

• Contributing to model development across areas such as credit risk, including IFRS9, stress testing, and scorecards

• Supporting portfolio analysis and model performance monitoring

• Collaborating with experienced teams on a range of data-driven projects


What we’re looking for:

• Strong Python skills (this is key)

• A background in data science, maths, statistics, or a related field

• An interest in modelling, analytics, or problem-solving

• Exposure to credit risk, financial services, or modelling techniques (e.g. scorecards, forecasting) (this is essential)
