Responsibilities

Hands on Solution Architect with strong expertise in Kafka / Confluent Kafka, MongoDB, AWS, APIs, and Operational Data Stores (ODS) — able to operate confidently across both high level architecture and low level design and implementation. Must bring immediate productivity with no learning curve — prior demonstrable experience designing and delivering solutions in streaming and ODS environments is essential. Expected to design, build, and validate end to end solutions, not just provide architectural oversight. Able to drive PoCs, prototypes, solution demos, and hands on technical spikes, ensuring architecture decisions are validated in practice. Comfortable switching between conceptual architecture, detailed solution design, and implementation guidance for engineering teams. Contribute to and support architecture governance processes:

standards compliance approval board submissions adherence to patterns and guardrails

Ensure decisions align with organisational guidelines and help uphold the architectural integrity of the corporate streaming & ODS pillar. Strong communicator who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross functional partners due to the high visibility of the role within the bank. Expected to operate autonomously, managing expectations, articulating design rationale, and ensuring alignment across teams.
