Job Description

Dayshift Electrician\n\n Birmingham\n Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (No On-Call)\n Salary: £28,000 – £34,000\n\nOverview\n\nAn opportunity has arisen for a qualified Electrician to join a healthcare facilities team based at a major acute hospital in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday with no on-call requirement.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair works across the hospital estate\n\n * Complete reactive tasks including trip faults, socket repairs, lighting faults and circuit issues\n\n * Maintain and test emergency lighting systems and nurse call systems\n\n * Replace and install light fittings, accessories and small electrical components\n\n * Undertake improvement works and minor installations as required\n\n * Ensure all works are completed in compliance with contract KPIs and statutory regulations\n\n * Carry out routine testing and inspections in line with current wiring regulations\n\n * Report defects, hazards or unusual findings to the Supervisor\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nEssential Qualifications:\n\n * Approved Electrical Apprenticeship\n\n * AM2\n\n * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18)\n\n * Relevant Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (C&G / EAL / NVQ equivalent)\n\nOther Requirements:\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence\n\n * Ability to pass a Standard DBS check\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * 24 days annual leave plus public holidays\n\n * Life cover (1.5x annual salary)\n\n * Employee discount schemes\n\n * Gym membership discounts\n\n * Cycle to Work scheme\n\n * Holiday purchase scheme
