Job Description
Synechron is looking for a Delivery Manager for an Application Migration project for a national energy firm. The role is accountable for the delivery of application migration initiatives, ensuring work is planned, governed, and delivered in a way that supports organisational objectives while managing risk and uncertainty.
Operating in environments where requirements and constraints may evolve, the Delivery Manager is expected to navigate ambiguity, influence across organisational boundaries, and drive clear ownership and resolution of issues, ensuring successful and sustainable migration outcomes.
Role:
- Lead in identifying, driving ownership of, and resolution to problems
- Focus on outcomes and data points to reflect success
- Shape delivery plans, roadmaps, and milestones
- Ensure dependencies across technology, operations, policy, and data are understood and managed
- Oversee forecasting, capacity planning, and sequencing
- Provide clear visibility of progress, risks, and trade-offs
- Operate within a regulated environment, ensuring appropriate controls are in place
- Manage delivery risks, issues, and escalations
- Work closely with assurance, architecture, and regulatory stakeholders
- Acts as a key interface between: Technology teams, Business and operational leaders, External vendors and delivery partners, Senior executives and governance forums, Aligns diverse stakeholder needs into a coherent delivery approach
Experience:
- 8+ years as Project Manager in highly regulated, safety-critical environment
- Owning delivery of large, complex, and often multi-year initiatives
- Delivery focused problem solver
- Ensuring work is delivered on time, within agreed constraints, and to the required quality
- Managing delivery across multiple teams, suppliers, and partners
- Experience in software build, deploy and run
- Comfortable in uncertain scenarios requiting the ability to navigate, influence and deliver outcomes
This is a permanent or inside IR35 contract role - Strong market rates - Feb start date - Likely long term - Predominantly remote work with occasional travel required
