Job Description
My client is looking for an agile delivery manager who can support one of their end clients a transformation programme.
This role is hybrid at either our Newcastle or Leeds office so the right agile delivery manager needs to be within a 90minute commute.
The rate for this role is £550-£600 per day Inside IR35 for an initial 3 month contract.
The right agile delivery manager will have/be able to-
- Effective planning, execution and tracking of sprint goals
- Step into the Scrum Master role for the agile team, leading agile ceremonies etc
- Complete necessary follow ups and admin tasks eg. ServiceNow for Change Requests
- Assimilate quickly business needs, OKRs, technical product roadmaps
- Provide timely and appropriate reporting and openly communicate delivery updates
- Support the team and Product Manager with what they need to maintain an ordered backlog across multiple workstreams
- Guide the team and remove impediments for a progressive results driven delivery to achieve timely outcome and release of value.
- Proactive facilitation and dependency management
- Collaboration with other Delivery Managers across other areas of the business
- Proactive facilitation and issue/risk, dependency management
- Quickly build strong relationships with team members
- Establish and maintain working relationship with other delivery partners
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication using a range of styles/techniques
- Applied agile delivery management experience
- Agile mindset with innovation to find solutions to challenges
- Experience of working in a software development team
- Planning, Co-ordination & Synchronisation skills
- ServiceNow, Jira, Mural/Lucid competencies
- Awareness of cloud technologies and pipeline creation
My client needs someone with critical thinking and experience of working within large government organisations previously. Previous work within GDS standards is essential.
You will be dealing with senior stakeholders within the Government so good communication skills are also essential.
