Deployment Engineer - End User Technology

An end user computing engineer maintains hardware and resolves technical problems swiftly. In this role, you will:

  1. Provide first-time resolution by troubleshooting, diagnosing, or escalating faults to service desk managers, incident managers, and problem managers to investigate and resolve issues.
  2. Coach associates and share knowledge with team colleagues.
  3. Deploy IT assets: Receive IT goods, image and issue IT hardware, install software, and maintain software portals.
  4. Dispose of old and faulty IT hardware.
  5. Manage IT collections.
  6. Asset and configuration management: Maintain secure configurations, control IT assets, verify asset location and status, supporting the full IT Asset Management lifecycle.
  7. Change management: Implement simple change requests, apply change control procedures.
  8. Continual service improvement: Implement policies, propose process optimizations, and support the implementation of solutions.
  9. Support process improvements: Identify deficiencies and suggest enhancements.
  10. Financial management: Handle small payments and exercise personal duty of care regarding IT resources.
  11. Incident management: Identify, register, and escalate incidents appropriately.
  12. Ownership and initiative: Own issues until resolution or transfer.
  13. Problem management: Investigate systemic issues and contribute to remedies and preventative measures.
  14. Service focus: Establish effective frameworks based on input.
  15. Service reporting: Keep the service management platform updated with customer activities and collate data for reports.
  16. Technical support: Assist in routine maintenance and support activities.
  17. Technical understanding: Possess high-level knowledge in End User Computing, Printing, Mobile, and Collaboration Services.
  18. Testing: Execute test scripts and understand testing roles.
  19. User focus: Engage with users to gather needs, define research, and utilize data to improve outcomes.
  20. Other duties: Participate in on-call services and support major projects outside regular hours as needed.
