Deputy Chief Financial Officer
3 Days Old
Package: £250,000 – £300,000 base + Executive Car Allowance + Bonus + Performance-led LTIs
The Opportunity
We are exclusively partnering with a household UK Consumer Brand—a £5BN+ revenue, multi-site powerhouse currently undergoing one of the most significant structural and cultural transformations in the UK market. Backed by ambitious Private Equity ownership, the organisation is pivoting toward a leaner, more agile, and commercially aggressive future.
As Deputy CFO, you will act as the engine room of the finance function, translating high-level strategy into operational excellence across a national footprint.
The Role
This is a high-visibility leadership mandate. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will lead a world-class team of 100+, holding end-to-end accountability for the financial health and strategic direction of the group.
Strategic Leadership: Drive the financial agenda across Commercial Finance, FP&A, Financial Control, Accounting, and Corporate Strategy.
Transformation & Change: Lead the "finance of the future" roadmap, streamlining complex legacy systems and processes to suit a fast-paced PE environment.
Performance Management: Act as a critical friend to the Board and Business Unit MDs, providing the data-driven insights necessary to protect margins in a high-volume, low-margin industry.
Board-Level Exposure: Represent the finance function in key stakeholder forums, navigating the intersection of public scrutiny and private equity rigor.
The Candidate
We are looking for a "future CFO"—someone who possesses the technical pedigree of a seasoned controller but the commercial "sharpness" of a strategic partner.
Experience: You must have operated at a senior level (CFO-1 or Deputy) within a large, complex FTSE 100/250 or a large-cap Private Equity portfolio company.
Environment: Proven track record in multi-site, capital-intensive businesses (Logistics, Retail, Infrastructure, or Industrials).
Transformation DNA: You have successfully led finance functions through massive structural change, M&A, or turnaround phases.
Leadership: A dynamic, modern leader capable of inspiring a large, diverse team while maintaining a "hands-on" grip on the detail.
Presence: Exceptional gravitas with the ability to influence at Board level and challenge seasoned PE investors.
Why Join?
This is a rare chance to leave a legacy on an Iconic UK business. You will be at the heart of a multi-billion-pound value-creation plan, supported by a remuneration package that reflects the scale and complexity of the task.
