About the Role
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school’s culture, driving improvements in behaviour, attendance, and inclusion, and supporting the Headteacher in leading the school through continued development and success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on behaviour, culture, and attendance strategies to improve student outcomes
Support the Headteacher with the strategic leadership and day-to-day running of the school
Provide visible, consistent leadership, modelling high expectations for staff and students
Lead, motivate, and develop staff working in challenging classroom and pastoral settings
Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions
Work collaboratively with external agencies to support vulnerable students
Promote and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
About You
Proven leadership experience within a challenging or high-need school setting
Strong expertise in behaviour management, safeguarding, and inclusion
Resilient, calm under pressure, and solution-focused
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and staff development skills
Committed to raising standards and delivering measurable improvements
Passionate about supporting both staff and students to achieve their full potential
