The Role – Deputy Manager
As Deputy Manager, you will:

Work closely with the Registered Manager to provide strong, visible leadership.

Lead and motivate a dedicated care team delivering therapeutic, child-centred care.
*
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff to maintain high standards across the home.
*
Deputise fully for the Registered Manager, including on-call responsibilities and chairing meetings.
*
Take ownership of safeguarding, compliance, care planning, and high-quality record-keeping.
*
Build trusted relationships with young people, families, social workers, and education providers.
*
Support with rotas, reports, audits, and budgets — ensuring the home runs smoothly and consistently.
What We’re Looking For
*
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
*
Experience supervising staff within a children’s residential setting.
*
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations, and Ofsted standards.
*
A confident, emotionally intelligent leader with excellent communication skills.
*
Flexibility for agreed hours and on-call duties.
*
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
