Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum + £3,000 £6,000 sleep-in allowance

Our client is launching a brand-new, 2-bed high-intensity therapeutic childrens home in North Shropshire and is looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker to help lead the service from the very beginning.

About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting the Registered Manager to deliver a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
You will help lead and develop the staff team, ensuring young people receive consistent, high-quality care that supports their emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will contribute to care planning, safeguarding, staff development, and the overall success of the home.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the home
Lead, supervise, and develop staff to deliver high-quality care and support
Promote a therapeutic, child-centred environment
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
Assist with rota planning, staffing, and resource management
Support the development and implementation of care plans and behaviour strategies
Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external professionals
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and best practice
Step up to manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
What Were Looking For
Minimum 2 years experience in a childrens residential setting
Experience at Senior or Deputy Manager level
NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People (or equivalent)
Good knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
Experience managing rotas, staffing, and budgets
A strong, resilient, and child-focused leadership style
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Additional Information
Sleep-in requirement of approximately 48 per month
All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and satisfactory references
