The home provides care for up to five young people aged 818 who need consistent, compassionate support due to emotional and behavioural needs.About the RoleAs Deputy Manager, youll play a key part in shaping the day-to-day life of the home. Working closely with the Registered Manager, youll help guide the team, maintain high care standards, and ensure every young person feels safe, valued, and understood.This is a hands-on leadership position combining administrative responsibilities with direct care and team development.What Youll Be DoingSupporting the overall management and smooth running of the homeLeading shifts and stepping up in the Managers absenceHelping build a strong, motivated staff team with clear directionEnsuring care meets all regulatory and quality standardsWriting reports, completing audits, and monitoring performancePromoting safeguarding and best practice at all timesBuilding positive relationships with young people, families, and professionalsCreating an environment where children feel heard, respected, and supportedDelivering staff supervision and contributing to team developmentTaking part in an on-call rotaWhat Were Looking ForWere keen to hear from individuals who:Understand childrens home regulations and inspection frameworksHold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)Have at least 2 years experience in a senior role within a childrens residential setting (or current Deputy experience)Can stay composed and effective under pressureDemonstrate strong communication, organisation, and leadership skillsBring professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitudeWhat Youll Get in ReturnStructured rota providing consistency for both staff and young people.Support to complete you level 5 if not already held.Mix of office-based and shift work for flexibility28 days annual leavePerformance-related bonus linked to inspection outcomesWorkplace pension scheme.Why Join Us?Youll be part of a service that values meaningful relationships, consistent care, and a child-focused approach.
