A home with heart

As Deputy Manager Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire, you will support the Service Manager in running Newlands House, a residential home with nursing support in Swadlincote for up to 35 adults with disabilities

Youll help the home run smoothly, make sure residents get high-quality, person-centred care, and lead a team of nurses and care staff with confidence and care.

Your working hours

This is a full-time role, working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, including the expectation of covering nursing shifts as required.

About the role

As Deputy Manager Registered Nurse, you will:

Support the Service Manager and deputise in their absence
Provide effective leadership, management, and supervision for a team of nurses and care staff
Lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure a well-run, compliant, and person-centred service
Deliver high standards of nursing, clinical, and personal support
Promote independence, choice, and positive outcomes for residents
Ensure compliance with health and safety and all statutory obligations

What helps you shine here

Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care)
Experience managing a team of nursing and care staff
Experience providing direct personal and social care
Experience working with individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities
Flexibility to work rostered hours
