What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee day-to-day activities, deploying resource to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Give regular and timely constructive feedback on colleague performance, holding the team accountable and providing coaching and development solutions to enhance capability and deliver a high quality customer experience
- Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction
- Understand how to deliver profitable sales and support the team in maximising growth through cross selling and leveraging our solutions such as BA and Toolhire
- Create time and opportunities for colleagues to develop their product knowledge
- Take full ownership to resolve challenging situations, customer complaints or feedback
- Ensure branch operating standards are always maintained
- Collaborate with operational colleagues to ensure inventory and availability levels are appropriate to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with operational colleagues to ensure efficient and cost-effective fulfilment of branch orders, collections and transfers
- Maintain full branch compliance with company policies and procedures, especially in relation to Health & Safety
- Deputise for BM when required
