Deputy Nursery Manager – Nurture and Lead in South London About the role: Engage Education is working with a welcoming nursery in South London that is currently recruiting a dedicated and proactive Deputy Nursery Manager . This full-time permanent role is ideal for someone ready to step up or currently working as a Deputy and wanting a fresh challenge. You’ll support the Nursery Manager in delivering a high-quality early years provision, taking on leadership responsibilities while maintaining hands-on involvement with children and staff. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting Leading and mentoring room leaders and practitioners Assisting with planning, assessments, and staff supervision Acting as a key person to a group of children and building strong parent partnerships Taking the lead in the absence of the Nursery Manager The ideal candidate will have: A Level 3 qualification or above in Early Years Education Previous experience in a leadership or senior practitioner role A sound knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding best practice Strong interpersonal and organisational skills A child-centred approach with enthusiasm for early years development
