An established and welcoming early years setting in London is seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join their dedicated leadership team. About the Nursery
Our client operates a well-regarded nursery offering:
Number of Childcare Staff: 14
Total Places for Children: 50
Age Range: 0 years 9 months to 5 years 0 months
Opening Times:
Monday Friday: 08:00 18:00
Closed: Bank Holidays, 1 week at Christmas & 2 weeks in Summer
The nursery provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children are supported to thrive and develop through engaging, play-based learning.
The Role
As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of the setting. You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of care, education, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Nursery Manager with operational leadership
Leading and motivating a team of 14 childcare professionals
Ensuring compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Supporting staff development, supervision, and training
Building strong partnerships with parents and carers
Acting as Manager in the Managers absence
Requirements
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable)
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a nursery
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A passion for delivering high-quality early years education and care
