Responsibilities
Civil Construction Management (LTA Projects) Manage and supervise civil works including earthworks, excavation, temporary works, piling, structural concrete, drainage, and road works Ensure construction activities comply with LTA specifications, drawings, method statements, and approved construction sequence Coordinate daily site operations to achieve project milestones and section targets Safety/Environmental & SCT/LTA Compliance Enforce compliance with WSH Act, LTA safety requirements, MOM regulations, and project Safety Management System Ensure strict implementation of excavation safety, lifting operations, and traffic safety measures Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and ensure timely close‑out of safety observations Subcontractor & Interface Coordination Manage civil subcontractors, suppliers, and site supervisors within assigned section Coordinate interfaces with utilities, traffic diversions, M&E, architectural, and other civil sections Chair and lead coordination and toolbox meetings Progress Monitoring & Reporting Monitor daily productivity and construction progress against the approved baseline programme Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for Project Manager Identify potential delays and propose recovery plans or alternative construction methods Quality Assurance & Inspections Ensure civil works are executed in accordance with LTA QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and inspection requirements Coordinate inspections with LTA, Consultants, and Independent Checkers (IC) Manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions Technical & Site Engineering Support Review civil drawings, temporary works designs, and method statements Resolve technical issues related to ground conditions, constructability, and sequencing Support design coordination and assist in design changes and site instructions Cost & Resource Control Control manpower, materials, and equipment usage within assigned section Prevent any rework and Minimize material wastage Assist in variation works, measurement, and records for claims
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Minimum 8~10 years of civil construction experience, with at least 5 years as Senior Site engineer or at least 2 years Section Manager Civil project experience such as Excavation, RC Structure work, temporary works, D‑wall/Bored pile/ERSS, and traffic & drainage diversion Strong knowledge of MOM & WSH requirements and LTA Specifications Proven experience in LTA/Main contractor projects (MRT, road, tunnel, viaduct, or depot works) Strong leadership/Responsibility, coordination, and problem‑solving skills
