About the Opportunity A well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Lambeth is working in partnership with a specialist education recruitment agency to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic DT Teacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher or an experienced DT Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced Design & Technology department.
The Role As a DT Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5 depending on your specialism.
This DT Teacher role includes:
  • Planning and delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons
  • Teaching across specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics or Food Technology
  • Promoting creativity, problem-solving and technical skills
  • Preparing students for GCSE and/or A-Level DT courses
  • Ensuring a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations

The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a DT Teacher who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it
  • Has a degree in Design & Technology or a related subject
  • Has strong subject knowledge in one or more DT specialisms
  • Is passionate about practical and creative education
  • Can inspire and motivate students of all abilities
  • Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
