Design Engineer - Fire & Security Systems Inside IR35 £47 per hour (Umbrella rate) Manchester based 12 Month minimum contract What you will do • Working as part of the Marine design team, based in Manchester UK, on mechanical design aspects of marine fire suppression projects, ensuring precision and adherence to client specifications. • Draft detailed CAD drawings and data sheets for fire protection systems tailored to the unique requirements of each project. • Develop a variety of drawings, including mechanical schematics, P&ID's, Equipment Datasheets, and Hydraulic Calculations. • Interpret and apply Approval Authority rules and Regulations. • Collaborate with the Senior Design Engineer and Project Manager, offering valuable design and CAD support. What we look for Essential • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and the internal project team. • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Hydraulic Calculation package (FireCAD or equivalent). • Ability to interpret clients' technical specifications. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages. • Full UK Driving License. • Willingness to obtain SC UK MOD Security clearance.
