Design Engineer responsibilities include -

Designing tooling, jigs, fixtures and gauges to support production requirements.
Producing and maintaining 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs and associated documentation.
Providing engineering support to production, resolving tooling, process and material issues.
Driving continuous improvement through tooling upgrades and design standardisation.
Streamlining engineering and documentation processes to support efficient production.Design Engineer desirable skills and experience -

Minimum 2 years within a similar role such as Graduate Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer.
Proven design background within a production environment.
Strong experience using 3D CAD software such as Catia or SolidWorks.
Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and modern manufacturing methods.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadline.Design Engineer benefits include -
