Design Manager/Technical Manager (Building Safety / Remediation)

Herts head office / London sites / Hybrid

Circa £75k (flexible) + package

A growing Principal Contractor specialising in building safety and fire remediation is looking to hire one or two Technical Managers/Design Managers due to a major increase in secured work.

They have recently secured multiple large remediation programmes with major residential developers, delivering projects ranging from £1m – £40m across London and the South East.

The company has evolved from a façade specialist into a principal contractor delivering full remediation solutions, including:

• Façade and cladding replacement

• Fire stopping and compartmentation works

• Fire door upgrades

• Removal and replacement of unsafe materials

The Role

You’ll act as the technical lead coordinating the design process across remediation projects.

The business does not design in-house – instead you’ll manage and coordinate external consultants including Fire Engineers, Structural Engineers and Designers.

This role would suit someone currently working as a:

• Technical Manager

• Design Manager

• Technical Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate external design consultants

• Manage the technical design process on remediation projects

• Review drawings and technical submissions

• Ensure compliance with building safety and fire regulations

• Support project delivery teams with technical input
