Job Description

A leading contractor is recruiting an experienced Design Manager to support the delivery of large-scale city centre residential developments in Manchester.\n\nThis role will manage design packages from pre-construction through to site delivery, ensuring designs are buildable, cost-effective, fully coordinated, and compliant with all statutory and warranty requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage and monitor the design programme with internal teams and external consultants\nCoordinate consultants and trade design packages to meet programme and quality targets\nReview and challenge design information throughout development and construction\nAttend design team and site meetings to support delivery on site\nEnsure compliance with Planning, Building Control, Warranty Provider, and statutory requirements\nLiaise with specialist subcontractors and statutory utility providers\nSupport resolution of technical and buildability issues on siteRequirements\n\nExperience as a Design Manager in both pre-construction and construction phases of projects\nProven experience on large residential projects is \nBackground working for a Developer or Main Contractor\nProactive self-starter with strong technical and coordination skills \n\nBuilding Careers UK are specialist in Construction and Property recruitment.
