Design Manager or Senior Design Manager - Building / Construction – Nottingham / East Midlands\n\nWhat makes it Great?\n\n-Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor\n\n–Local Regional Projects\n\n-Very Strong Work Pipeline\n\n-Excellent Staff Bonus\n\n-Very low staff turnover\n\nCOMPANY:\n\nA leading tier 1 building main contractor, operating on a regional basis.\n\nThis employer is a very stable company on lots of long term project frameworks and a diverse range of projects including public and private sector, they also already have a 70% plus secure order book for 2026, so a great place for job security and long term local work.\n\nPrevious experience on public sector projects (Education, Health, MOJ etc) would be ideal but not essential.\n\nRole:\n\nOpen to consider candidates at both Design Manager level or Senior Design Manager Level.\n\nThe role will be responsible for the management of design related issues across multiple sectors on both preconstruction and the Construction Stages of individual projects.\n\nThe function requires experience in the appointment and management of consultants, monitoring the production of detailed design and managing the design appraisal review process for projects in delivery.\n\nMust be experienced in managing the design process, identifying design solutions, design risk and opportunities to support the business in delivering existing pipeline and securing new work.\n\nResponsible for all design activities in conjunction with the development team and transition to the delivery teams.\n\nManage all aspects of the consultants and specialist sub-contractors activities working with commercial teams to negotiate their appointments.\n\nRequirements:\n\nTo be considered for this Design Manager role you must meet the following criteria:\n\n- Knowledge of Building Sector.\n- Previous employment as a Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager or Design Manager.\n- Previous experience in building sector projects such as Commercial, Mixed Use, Residential, Apartment Blocks, Student Accommodation, Hotels, Extra Care Housing, MOJ, Industrial, Education or Healthcare.\n- Previous Main Contractor employment.\n- High level of communication skills.\n- Relevant industry qualification (Degree / HND / HNC etc).\n\nRemuneration:\n\nThe successful Design Manager will receive:\n\n*Competitive Basic (Dependent on experience)\n*Car / Allowance\n*Healthcare\n*Pension\n\n*Bonus (With excellent track record of paying)\n\nTo be considered for this vacancy or to find out more information please apply now.\n\nServices advertised by Talk Recruitment are that of an employment business and/or agency
