Job Description

Design Manager – New Build residential – Reading, Berkshire\n\nThis leading Tier 1 contractor has an immediate requirement for a Design Manager to join the company to work on a contract basis for a minimum period of 6mths. \n\nThe project is a new build residential development in Reading which will have a mix of houses and flats and will run for over 5yrs over various phases of building.\n\nYour working week will be working on site, the office in Berkshire and they offer a day working remotely.\n\nKey Responsibilities as Design Manager;\n\nManage and coordinate all aspects of design across pre-construction and construction stages.\nLead design workshops and progress meetings with clients, consultants, and internal teams.\nReview and manage design information for buildability, compliance, and value.\nDrive collaboration between design and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.\nSupport bid and tender submissions with design-related input and value engineering solutions.\nMonitor design programmes, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of information.\nEnsure all design works comply with statutory regulations, project requirements, and company standards.\nAs a Design Manager, you will have worked on major residential projects for recognised Tier 1 contractors or developers.
