Design Manager ( (Sports & Infrastructure) £50,000 - £60,000 + Hybrid + Bonus + Private Health Care Bingley

Are you a Design Manager with an architectural background or similar? Looking to take the lead on exciting, high-profile sports surface and infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally?
\n

In this role, you'll take ownership of the design and delivery of major projects, leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are precise, compliant, and delivered on schedule. You'll be the key technical contact for clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to innovative design approaches.
\n
This role would suit a Design Manager from an architectural background seeking a role within sports surfaces, sports engineering, and field-of-play infrastructure.
\n
The Role:
\n
\n Lead and coordinate the design of major sports surface and infrastructure projects across RIBA Stages 0-7, maintaining clear design intent and alignment with technical standards and client requirements. \n
Review, approve, and manage the delivery of design documentation, drawings, and specifications, ensuring appropriate LoD/LoI, technical accuracy, and quality. \n
Act as the primary design interface with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal disciplines, including turf, irrigation, drainage, and lighting. \n
Manage design programmes in line with MIDPs and TIDPs, support project managers, mentor design staff, and provide technical input during tendering and construction. (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) \n

The Person:
\n
\n Degree-qualified in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Sports Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with professional accreditation desirable. \n
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and BIM workflows. \n
Commutable to Bingley. \n
\n
