Designer & Project Coordinator

The Opportunity
A well-established and growing organisation within the construction and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Designer & Project Coordinator to join their team. This is a key role responsible for managing projects from initial design through to delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of customer service throughout.
The Role
This is a predominantly office-based position, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver technically accurate designs and well-coordinated projects. You will take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within specification, and to a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate technical drawings based on architectural and structural information
Manage the full design approval process, including revisions and client sign-off
Coordinate projects from design through to delivery
Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear and professional communication
Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
Proactively resolve issues relating to design, delivery, or site requirements
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes
Requirements
Previous experience within construction, structural, or manufacturing environments
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
High attention to detail and technical accuracy
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Desirable
Experience with precast concrete or flooring systems
Familiarity with relevant design software (e.g. FloorCAD or similar)
Understanding of construction design approval processes
