Desktop Support Engineer Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum Location: On-site in Barrow-in-Furness Clearance: Sole UK Nationals only - eligible for SC Security Clearance About the Role: We're looking for an organised, hands-on Desktop Support Engineer to join a dedicated on-site team supporting a secure government environment. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality IT support across Install, Move, Add and Change (IMAC) activities, ensuring users have the right equipment, configured correctly, and ready to perform. This role suits either an experienced IT Support Engineer or a career-changer with solid technical aptitude looking to grow within a structured, professional environment. What You'll Do: Device Management: Build, configure, and rebuild user devices in line with service requirements. Inventory & Stock Control: Maintain accurate hardware records and follow stock control processes, including allocation and disposal. Service Coordination: Manage IMAC activities from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery against SLAs.
