Are you a culinary innovator with a passion for creating commercially viable and operationally achievable dishes that embody the spirit of Jamie Oliver's food philosophy?
We are looking for a Development Chef to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team, reporting to the Group Executive Chef - Food Development. This is a chance to make a real impact across our portfolio of restaurant brands, providing a clear point of difference with fresh, exciting menu content.
Your responsibilities will include:
Menu Innovation: Bring new and existing brands to life by developing engaging, on-trend menu content. Recipe Ownership: Write detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), step-by-step batch recipes, and final menu item specifications for site-level training. Commercial Acumen: Cost all dishes to ensure commercial viability, delivering on margin targets, and driving profitability. Brand Champion: Support marketing efforts with cooking and styling for photo shoots, ensuring brand identities are clearly distinct. Quality & Training: Recipe test all new and historical dishes, and support the operations team with new menu training in our O&O restaurant/Cafe. Proactive R&D: Stay ahead of the curve by conducting regular research and development to implement findings into new product development.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional cookery experience with a broad range of menu development, ideally within a hotel, corporate, premium casual dining, or retail catering environment. Critical Path Management: Proven experience leading the critical path of new recipe developmentfrom sales analysis and sourcing ingredients to full costing and gross profit management. Commercial Mindset: Strong understanding of site-level cost of goods and the levers to pull for profitability. Jamie's Beliefs: In-depth understanding of the Jamie Oliver brands and a commitment to championing sustainability and waste control. Bonus: Experience in food photography and familiarity with multi-site management.

We're looking for someone who's really organized, structured, and has a great work ethic, self-motivation, and creative flair. You should be good at solving problems, be flexible about travel, and genuinely care about championing Jamies food beliefs.
