Location: Cambourne, Cambridgeshire (100% On‑site)

What You’ll Be Doing

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Acting as the key link between R&D and manufacturing to ensure smooth product transition into production.
  • Defining and communicating production requirements to optimise manufacturing processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement using Lean, 3P, DFM, and DFA methodologies.
  • Supporting the NPI Lead and deputising when required.


Special Customer Solutions (SCS)

  • Developing bespoke technical solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Integrating third‑party components, assemblies, and custom software into standard products.
  • Conducting testing, qualification, and regulatory checks ahead of shipment.
  • Producing technical documentation to capture design intent and enable knowledge transfer.
  • Supporting MCAD (SolidWorks) and ECAD (Altium) design tasks.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and partners to ensure high‑quality integration.
  • Using SAP ERP to manage BOMs, part numbers, ECOs, and associated documentation.


What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product development, and optimisation.
  • Experience with CAD tools (MCAD & ECAD) and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to assess technical feasibility.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced R&D environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally.
