Development Engineer - Portsmouth

We are working with a growing and highly technical engineering environment looking to bring in a Development Engineer to support the design and delivery of advanced test solutions.

This is a hands on role where you will be analysing customer requirements and translating them into effective analogue, digital and mixed signal test platforms. You will be involved across both hardware and software, working closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers.

What you will be doing - Development Engineer - Portsmouth

• Develop, maintain and improve electrical testing for engineering characterisation and pre production validation
• Design and develop both test hardware and software based on customer requirements
• Ensure test results align with customer specifications and datasheets
• Streamline data gathering, storage and reporting processes
• Support product development and production testing
• Carry out failure analysis, reporting and process documentation
• Provide engineering support across test equipment when required
• Maintain hardware and ensure all test equipment is calibrated

What we are looking for - ​​​​​​​Development Engineer - Portsmouth

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, ideally at MSc level
• Experience within microelectronic design and assembly
• Strong understanding of semiconductor test methodology
• Experience developing test solutions for analogue or mixed signal components
• Hands on experience with automatic test equipment such as Credence, Teradyne or similar
• Knowledge of EDA tools such as Solidworks or Altium
• Programming experience in Pascal, C, C++ or Visual Basic
• Self motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
• Experience with AS9100 or Six Sigma would be beneficial
