Development Lead/ Technical Manager (Director) - Up to £150,000 + Bonus + Package

Location: London (Hybrid) | Industry: Banking & Financial Services

We’re looking for an experienced Technology Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams within our bank’s core technology function. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep C#/.NET expertise who enjoys shaping technical direction while mentoring and developing people.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and manage a team of software engineers delivering critical banking platforms Drive technical excellence across our C#/.NET stack, ensuring clean, scalable, and secure solutions Partner with product owners, architects, and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions Set coding standards, review designs, and guide architectural decisions Balance people leadership with technical oversight, fostering a strong engineering culture

What we’re looking for

Proven experience managing software engineering teams in an enterprise environment Strong hands-on background in C# / .NET (Core), with solid understanding of modern development practices Experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure ) Strong knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience in financial services or other highly regulated environments is a strong advantage
