IT Global Consulting Limited - Seeking an experienced and highly motivated DevOps Engineer responsible for the development, maintenance, and ongoing support of the platform, acting as the internal focal point for an enterprise platform. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to stay at the forefront of DevOps technologies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork within an agile environment utilizing CI/CD pipelines.Design logical architectures and translate them into physical infrastructure.Support teams in mapping their stories to platforms, facilitating secure service deployment.Engage in platform build/support activities, including developing hardened containers.Identify and advise on best practices and delivery risks.Assist engineers with service topology discovery and defining QA and deployment pipelines.Promote adoption of new tools and improve support processes.Collaborate with AWS to assess applications and infrastructure.Manage AWS infrastructure, integrating cloud-native services with third-party tools.Optimize existing services for performance and reliability.Build and manage VPC environments for various stages including Sandbox, Dev, Test, and Production.Support containerization and automation tasks, including troubleshooting.Implement infrastructure as code using Pulumi or Terraform.Design, document, and develop scalable solutions based on business needs.Write clean, testable, and high-quality code following best practices.Skills, Knowledge, and QualificationsProficiency with AWS, cloud architecture, and Java.Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools.Strong scripting skills in Shell and Python.Experience with monitoring and metrics platforms such as Datadog and Prometheus.Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.Desirable: Experience with Nix, Crossplane, and autoscaling on AWS.Additional Technologies and ExperienceNginx, IPv4 Networking, Test automation, Relational and NoSQL databases.Personal TraitsPassion for technology, initiative, and self-learning.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Certifications (Advantages)AWS Certified Cloud PractitionerAWS Certified DevOps Engineer – ProfessionalSun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP)Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD)ITILv3 Foundation CertificateLocation and SalarySlough, Berkshire, UK.
