Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic capability to join a busy, well-established workshop specialising in Volkswagen and Audi vehicles.

This role offers a great mix of work from modern vehicles using the latest diagnostic systems to older models where solid mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability are essential. This is not a role for someone purely reliant on diagnostics; we are looking for a well-rounded technician who can confidently handle both.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex faults using ODIS and VAGCOM (no other diagnostic systems used)

  • Work across a range of VW/Audi vehicles, including both modern and older models

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and MOT preparation

  • Complete accurate job cards and service records

  • Ensure all work meets high standards and manufacturer guidelines

  • Work efficiently to meet productivity targets

  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace

Requirements

  • Proven full diagnostic experience

  • Experience using ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System)

  • Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly on older vehicles

  • Air-conditioning trained

  • Own tools

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
