The RoleAs a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGVs and plant equipment, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on diesel enginesDiagnosing mechanical faults using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipmentCompleting PMIs (Planned Maintenance Inspections)Fabrication and welding of components where requiredWorking safely with hand and power toolsSupporting workshop efficiency and minimising vehicle downtime? What Were Looking ForProven experience as a Diesel Mechanic / HGV Technician or similarStrong knowledge of diesel engine systems and componentsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsExperience with fabrication and welding (advantageous)Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on, heavy-duty workStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience working with Scania and Volvo HGVs would be highly desirable.??
