Digital Business and Product Development ManagerLocation: Birmingham, UK (Office-based or Hybrid)Reports To: Managing DirectorLevel: Management Level (Manager)Job SummaryTheDigital Business and Product Development Managerwill be responsible for designing, enhancing, and scaling online money transfer products with a strong focus on simplifying transaction processes and delivering a seamless customer journey. The role requires deep experience in building digital payment solutions where transaction processing is as easy, fast, and intuitive as sending an SMS, while maintaining security, compliance, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & DevelopmentLead the end-to-end development and enhancement of online money transfer products across web, mobile, and digital channels.Define and execute product strategies focused on simplicity, speed, and customer convenience.Own the product roadmap, from concept and design to launch and continuous optimization.Transaction Process SimplificationDesign and optimize transaction workflows to minimize steps, inputs, and customer effort.Create transaction journeys that allow customers to send money in a few taps or a single action.Eliminate friction in onboarding, KYC, payment initiation, confirmation, and payout processes.Customer Journey & ExperienceMap and continuously improve the end-to-end customer transaction journey using customer insights and data analytics.Ensure consistent, intuitive, and transparent user experiences across all digital touchpoints.Champion a customer-first mindset across product, technology, and operations teams.Business Development & GrowthIdentify new product opportunities, digital corridors, partnerships, and monetization models.Support market expansion by adapting products to local customer behaviours and regulatory requirements.Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to keep the product highly competitive.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Customer Support teams to ensure smooth transaction processing.Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements and functional specifications.Manage product delivery timelines and ensure high-quality execution.Performance & ReportingDefine and track KPIs related to transaction success rate, processing time, customer satisfaction, and adoption.Use data-driven insights to continuously refine product features and transaction flows.Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree in business, Finance or Technology.5+ years of experience in product management or business development within online money transfer, fintech, payments, or digital financial services.Proven experience in simplifying transaction processes and delivering easy, fast customer journeys.Strong understanding of online payment systems, remittance workflows, KYC/AML, and regulatory requirements.Experience working in agile or fast-paced digital product environments.Key Skills & CompetenciesDigital product management and lifecycle ownershipEnd-to-end transaction process design and optimizationCustomer journey mapping and UX-driven thinkingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationExcellent communication and presentation skillsDeep understanding of online payments and money transfer platformsPreferred SkillsExperience with chat-based, USSD, or simplified command-driven transaction modelsKnowledge of APIs, integrations, and payment gatewaysExperience launching products in multiple international marketsKey Success IndicatorsTransaction completion in seconds with minimal stepsHigh customer adoption and repeat usageReduced transaction failures and drop-offsImproved customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS)JBRP1_UKTJ
