Job Description
Digital Media Planner
Location: London (Hybrid – minimum 2 days in-office)
Function: Media Planning / Performance
Type: Full-time, Agency-side
Salary: £45-50k dependent on experience
About the Role
We’re partnering with a fast-growing London-based digital agency to hire a Digital Media Planner with a strong paid social background.
The agency is known for performance-led thinking and works with ambitious retail and consumer brands. This is a growth hire and a high-impact, standalone role, fully dedicated to one of the agency’s largest and most strategically important accounts, managing a £4.5m+ annual media budget.
You’ll sit between account leadership and performance, working closely with senior leadership in London and an offshore performance team. The role offers genuine autonomy, ownership and visibility, with the opportunity to shape how media planning is delivered as the agency continues to scale.
What You’ll Own
As Digital Media Planner, you’ll lead the planning, execution and optimisation of multi-channel digital media activity across paid social and video platforms.
You’ll act as the strategic media voice on the account, translating business objectives into clear, scalable media plans and ensuring strong collaboration across performance, creative and leadership teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Own end-to-end digital media strategy across Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest and YouTube
Translate client goals, KPIs and audience insights into effective media plans
Lead media brief creation and partner closely with creative teams to ensure message–media alignment
Oversee campaign pacing and optimisation alongside the performance team
Run weekly status meetings and manage cross-team collaboration
Identify and test new platforms, formats and media opportunities
Own performance reporting, insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
Manage budgets and delivery against KPIs including CTR, CPA, ROAS and reach
Build relationships with media partners and negotiate pricing and added value
Why This Role Is Exciting
Join a high-growth agency working on large-scale, high-profile media budgets
Operate in a role with real autonomy and influence
Work closely with founders and senior leadership
Shape and grow a media planning function, rather than slot into an existing one
Clear scope to develop the role as the agency scales
This isn’t a rigid or siloed position - it’s a chance to own, build and evolve.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a confident, commercially minded media planner who enjoys ownership and strategic problem-solving.
You’ll likely bring:
Ideally 6+ years’ experience (minimum 3+ years hands-on paid media)
Strong experience with Meta Ads and TikTok Ads
Working knowledge of:
Google Tag Manager
Google Ads & Google Ads Editor
Google Merchant Centre & Google Analytics
At least 1 year of client-facing experience, including reporting and presentations
Proven experience scaling paid media accounts
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A collaborative mindset with the confidence to operate independently
Curiosity about media innovation and emerging platforms
