PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £45,000 - £50,000 + London Weighting (£5,319)depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

This role reports into the Director of Digital Planning, part of the Digital Business Planning and Operations team.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Strategic Annual Planning
    Support the creation of a comprehensive, audience- and market-focused annual digital plan that aligns with the organisation's commercial growth strategy. Ensure the plan reflects evolving market trends, audience behaviours, and business priorities to drive long-term value.
  • Digital Planning Process Execution
    Contribute to the execution of structured planning cycles including annual, quarterly and monthly, and even longer-term views. Ensure alignment with relevant team leads across Portfolio, Delivery and Ops, Content, and Commercial teams, and that all stakeholders understand the planning timetable.
  • Goal Setting and Actionable Planning
    Assist in defining divisional goals and performance targets, ensuring they are measurable and aligned with strategic objectives. Translate these into actionable plans.
  • Strategic Analysis and Market Responsiveness
    Provide data-driven insights and background analysis to support the development of strategy and forward-looking plans for the wider senior leadership team.
  • Content Strategy and Commercialisation
    Support content strategy development and offer strategic input on content monetisation, including optimal content volumes, formats, and content types to maximise revenue potential. Assist in setting and refining KPIs for content performance, ensuring alignment with broader business and platform goals.
  • Risk Management and Contingency Planning
    Collaborate with relevant team leads to develop contingency frameworks for when we're tracking below commercial targets
  • Data and Insight Integration
    Act as a key liaison between Digital Planning and the Data & Insights team, including embedding data science into planning and performance tracking. Synthesise insights from multiple sources to inform strategic decisions, creative briefs, and content development strategies.
  • Performance Reporting and Commentary
    Support the development of commentary, insights, and next steps for monthly performance documents, detailing how we're performing against commercial targets.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Media and Creative Industries Experience: Demonstrable experience in media, brand, and creative industries with strong brand-building skills.
  • Strategic and Commercial Acumen: Ability to develop impactful strategies based on insights and analysis, influencing senior leaders and teams.
  • Cross-Platform Strategy Development: Experience in creating strategies across multiple media platforms and touchpoints.
  • Operational Planning and Project Experience: Proven ability to lead processes and collaborate cross-functionally to translate strategy into clear, actionable plans.
  • Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of digital business models and how digital content is commissioned, financed, and produced.

DESIRED NOT REQUIRED:

  • Leadership & Project Management: Proven experience in digital media environments, leading teams, managing projects, facilitating workshops, and delivering strategic presentations.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and office software, with experience in data extraction and translating insights into user-friendly formats.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build credibility and communicate effectively across senior and cross-functional teams.
  • Resilience & Strategic Thinking: Skilled in prioritising under pressure, handling sensitive information with discretion, making informed decisions, and anticipating future needs.
