LOCATION: Hybrid (Minimum two days at the company’s head office in Manchester)

HOURS: 37.5hrs per week

CONTRACT TYPE: Two - Years Fixed Term

SALARY: £61,000 - £65,000 (subject to experience)

VETTING REQUIREMENT: Borderline Personnel Security Standard & NPPV Level 2

About BikeSafe

BikeSafe is a national police‑led motorcycle safety initiative that is administered and governed by UKROEd. It aims to reduce motorcycle casualties through education and early intervention.

Delivered by police motorcyclists across the UK, BikeSafe offers workshops and observed rides that help riders improve their skills, awareness, and hazard perception.


Overview of the role

The Strategic Development Team are responsible for planning and delivery of key strategic projects within UKROEd. As Digital Project Manager, the post holder will lead the planning, delivery and successful implementation of a coordinated digital programme covering the redevelopment of the UKROEd, Road Safety Trust and its BikeSafe initiative websites.


You will steer the project through its full project lifecycle — from initial review and user research, discovery and scoping, through to procurement of suppliers including web developers, content migration, stakeholder testing and finally launch.


You will ensure you have understood the requirements for each project by engaging with relevant stakeholders and producing appropriate briefs detailing the different functionality requirements of each website. An understanding that each website or digital area will have its own priorities, audience focus and technical requirements, but all are equally important to the overall success and impact of the programme.


Therefore, the postholder should ensure that every site is delivered in line with its unique brief, fit for purpose, and aligned with the wider digital and organisational strategy.

The successful candidate will also take responsibility for project governance, stakeholder engagement, supplier management and delivery to agreed specifications, budgets and timescales.

This role is ideal for a project professional with demonstrable experience managing high-visibility web or digital transformation projects in not-for-profit, education or public service contexts.
