This role is central to ensuring our systems are reliable, secure and designed around the needs of both services and customers.You will work closely with service managers, suppliers and senior leaders to deliver system improvements, new technologies and more efficient ways of working across the organisation.Key responsibilities:Manage and administer the Council’s corporate and line of business systemsLead the specification, procurement and implementation of new and enhanced systemsAct as the primary technical lead with suppliers during system selection and deliveryEnsure systems are secure, compliant and operating at optimum performanceLead system testing, upgrades and releasesSupport business continuity planning and service resilienceDeliver and coordinate user training and system guidanceSupervise staff and support their developmentPromote continuous improvement and digital innovationYou will have strong experience managing complex ICT systems in a multi user environment, ideally within local government or a similar organisation.
