Director AI & Transformation | London | £180,000 | Hybrid | Financial Services


I am working with a leading financial services client, based in the City of London.


This is a newly created remit and they are seeking a senior AI Strategy & Transformation Lead to partner with their Technology division in identifying, prioritising, and implementing Agentic AI-driven opportunities across the organisation.


You will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, helping shape how AI can drive efficiency, automation, operational resilience, and innovation within a complex environment.


Key Responsibilities:


AI Opportunity Identification

  • Assess Technology functions to identify AI use cases
  • Identify efficiency gains across engineering and operations
  • Prioritise opportunities by ROI and feasibility


AI Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define enterprise AI adoption roadmap
  • Create AI maturity assessments
  • Define operating model for AI adoption


Governance & Risk

  • Work with Risk, Legal, Security, Compliance
  • Ensure responsible AI governance
  • Build frameworks for AI control and oversight


Delivery Oversight

  • Support pilots and proofs of concept
  • Track adoption and ROI
  • Help scale successful initiatives


Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of AI landscape
  • GenAI / LLM / SLM awareness
  • Technology operating model understanding
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Business case creation
  • Ability to simplify technical complexity
  • Banking or regulated industry exposure
