Director, Commercial Finance FP&A - 12 month FTC/secondment

We're looking for a Director, Commercial Finance (FP&A) to join us in London for a 12-month maternity cover. The Director of FP&A will lead our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function for Corporate Services, ensuring the timely and accurate consolidation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long‑term plans, while collaborating across teams to identify key opportunities and risks. Responsibilities
Lead and guide the FP&A team in the preparation and consolidation of rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and long‑range plans across the organization. Act as a key partner to finance business partners across Corporate and Tech and senior leadership, providing financial insights and support to help achieve business objectives. Lead the collation of financial opportunities and risks, ensuring a clear understanding of the likely financial outturn and collaborating across departments to capture insights and identify potential variances. Work closely with the systems team to design, develop, and transform finance systems, focusing on driving efficiencies and enhancing reporting capabilities. Provide financial leadership in the decision‑making process by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable financial data and analysis to senior management. Lead continuous improvement of FP&A processes and tools, ensuring they are scalable, accurate, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
Qualifications
High proficiency in financial modelling, scenario planning, and long‑term forecasting. Exceptional business partnering skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with a range of senior stakeholders. Strong experience in finance systems, data transformation, and driving efficiencies through process improvements. Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Strong financial acumen with the ability to provide strategic financial insights and drive financial performance improvements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across finance teams and the broader business. Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable business strategies. Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or similar finance leadership roles, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning.
