We are seeking a dynamic, visionary HSEQ Director to join our UK executive leadership team. it’s an opportunity to shape the future of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) across the Tarmac business — embedding a culture where everyone goes home safe, every day.
Lead the strategic direction of HSEQ across the UK, aligning local operations with CRH’s global frameworks and evolving industry standards.
Drive cultural transformation by embedding a Work Safe, Home Safe ethos across all sites — making safety a shared value, not just a rulebook.
Monitor and report on HSEQ performance using data-led insights and KPIs to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Act as a senior voice for safety within the executive team, influencing operational strategy and investment through a safety-first lens.
Spearhead investigations and learning from incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis leads to meaningful action and innovation.
Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in safety, environmental performance, and quality — driving proactive solutions that reduce risk and improve outcomes.
Represent the business in regulatory and legal matters relating to HSEQ, offering expert leadership and safeguarding reputation.
In-depth knowledge of UK HSEQ legislation, industry standards (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001), and regulatory frameworks.
A strategic thinker who can lead transformation, communicate with clarity, and bring people with them on the journey.
Professional qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma and Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) are highly desirable.
