St. Joseph Residence in Manchester, NH is a small 22 – bed dually licensed skilled/long term care nursing home with a family atmosphere. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care for Sisters of the Presentation of Mary Order. The sisters receive person-centered care, according to their individualized needs. We are looking for an experienced, full-time Environmental Services Director to join our management team. This position is responsible for Maintenance, Housekeeping and Laundry departments.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct departmental team members
Assist the Administrator with budget development and expense monitoring; develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures
Provide oversight for work performed by outside vendors, ensuring it is completed in accordance with contracts/work orders
Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of in-services, on-the-job training, and programs
Ensure that personnel follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies
Participate in surveys (inspections) made by government agencies; review and develop a Plan of Correction for Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry Department deficiencies noted during the survey, and provide a written copy to the Administrator
Assume the role of Safety Officer for the facility, with the authority, responsibility, and accountability for overseeing all safety issues; ensure compliance with OSHA requirements
Assist the Infection Control Coordinator in identifying, evaluating, and classifying routine and job-related maintenance functions to ensure that Category I and II Universal Precautions tasks are properly identified
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance/plant position
On call requirements
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.
