A leading multidisciplinary group of Engineers and Planners are keen to appoint a Director of Highways within their Infrastructure business which continues to win and deliver some exceptional projects.
The Technical Director & National Service Line Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic, technical, and growth of the Highways & Infrastructure discipline within group. The role leads national service line strategy, ensures technical excellence, drives business growth, and oversees the delivery of high quality engineering solutions across all sizes of highways and infrastructure projects.
The position requires a strong mix of leadership, client engagement, technical authority, commercial acumen, with a focus on developing a high performing team and ensuring consistent national delivery standards.
The role will focus on:-
Highways & Infrastructure ensuring that initiatives become part of mainstream practice by actively marketing these to existing and prospective clients.
Technical Excellence
Project Delivery
As well as overseeing schemes as a Project Director and ensure targets are met and exceeded.
Understand & engage with national market including key clients, competitors & opportunities. Contribute to common BD strategy & create/deliver aligned strategy for national discipline.
Visible around the business & actively collaborate with senior colleagues to exploit opportunities.
Lead service line planning, forecasting, and capability development across UK offices.
Shape the future technical direction, driving innovation, digital engineering, and best practiceadoption.
You will be technical strong and seen as a technical authority for the business providing technical governance, assurance, and oversight on major bids and complex projects.
For your part you will have:-
Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in highways, transportation, or civil infrastructureengineering within a UK consultancy environment.
Proven track record in senior leadership roles such as Technical Director, Discipline Lead, orPractice Lead.
