Director of People and Culture

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be exclusively partnering with an impactful Not-For-Profit organisation based in London to recruit their new Director of People and Culture on a permanent basis. This will be a hybrid working arrangement with the expectation to be in their offices 2 days a week.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be a member of the Executive Team, building and developing the HR function, shaping an inclusive, high-performing culture that supports the organisation's missions and values. You will lead the HR and Resources Committee, so solid governance knowledge and experience are essential.

As the Director of People and Culture, you will provide strategic leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR team. You will directly manage, motivate, inspire, and develop a small team of HR professionals. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Delivering the transformational people strategy.
  2. Leading and working with the Senior Leadership Team to align culture across the organisation.
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders within Unions, handling challenging activities, and negotiating Industrial Relations.
  4. Reviewing the organisation's pay policy to attract and retain excellent staff, improve staff engagement, and establish the organisation as an employer of choice.
  5. Implementing EDI policies.

Our client is seeking a Director of People and Culture who is ideally CIPD qualified, with experience in:

  1. Leading a HR team and setting clear objectives.
  2. Handling a wide range of complex ER issues to appropriate resolution.
  3. Delivering organisational change and implementing projects of strategic importance.
  4. Working in a unionised environment, ideally.
