Director of Quality and Risk Location: London, The Harley Street Campus. Type: Full time, Permanent. Salary: Competitive. A Director of Quality and Risk will lead clinical governance, quality, patient safety, and risk management across the Harley Street Campus, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement to provide safe high‑quality care. Key Responsibilities
Provide executive leadership on clinical governance, quality, patient safety and risk management across the campus. Act as the campus lead for regulatory compliance, accreditation and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. Implement and oversee robust quality and risk management frameworks aligned to HCA’s governance strategy. Advising the Executive Team and Board on high‑risk incidents, serious incidents, complaints and regulatory matters. Lead the oversight of PSIRF within the campus and contribute to HCA‑wide learning. Ensure effective, transparent complaints management in line with legislation and HCA standards. Champion a culture of safety, learning, openness and continuous improvement. Provide senior leadership to the Governance team, building capability and fostering high performance. Build effective relationships with clinical leaders, senior managers, regulators and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Extensive senior‑level experience in quality, governance, risk management and regulatory compliance within a complex healthcare environment. Expert knowledge of clinical governance frameworks, patient safety systems and healthcare regulation. Proven experience leading serious incident investigations, complaints management and regulatory engagement. A strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate regulatory and quality requirements into practical, effective solutions. Credibility and confidence to operate at Executive and Board level, influencing senior stakeholders. An inclusive, compassionate leadership style aligned to HCA’s values and patient‑first culture. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. A commitment to continuous improvement, high standards of care, and leading by example.
