Job Description

A growing and forward-thinking care provider is seeking an experienced Director of Quality & Governance to lead on the development, standardisation, and continuous improvement of quality systems across its portfolio.

This is a key leadership appointment focused on strengthening governance frameworks, improving compliance, and driving a significant programme of digital transformation across the organisation.

The Role

This is a highly hands-on, operational leadership role requiring regular engagement across services. You will work closely with Home Managers, Regional Leaders, and central support teams to embed a strong culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

A major focus of the role will be leading the implementation and optimisation of digital systems across the organisation, ensuring they are effectively embedded and consistently used to improve outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the organisation’s quality, compliance, and governance framework across all services
  • Driving consistency and improvement in care standards and regulatory compliance
  • Leading the rollout and embedding of electronic care planning systems across the portfolio
  • Overseeing implementation and optimisation of electronic medication management and audit systems
  • Streamlining existing processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure systems are fully embedded in day-to-day practice
  • Leading internal audit processes and driving action plans for continuous improvement
  • Preparing services for regulatory inspections and maintaining strong compliance performance
  • Supporting Home Managers and Regional teams with hands-on quality improvement initiatives

The Person

You will likely bring:

  • Senior experience in a quality, governance, or compliance leadership role within the care sector
  • Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven experience leading or supporting digital transformation projects (particularly care planning and medication systems)
  • Hands-on experience improving systems, processes, and operational compliance across multi-site services
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage operational teams
  • A practical, visible approach – comfortable being present in services and driving change on the ground

If you are motivated by operational impact, system improvement, and driving real change across services, this is an opportunity to make a lasting difference.
