OverviewDirector / Senior Director, Business Relationship Management (BRM) - Corporates - Stockholm / London. Fitch Ratings is seeking a Director/Senior Director based out of our Stockholm or London office. BRM Corporates EMEA leads business development and marketing efforts for Fitch Ratings. The role sits within Fitch Ratings’ Business & Relationship Management (BRM) group for EMEA Corporates.Fitch Ratings is part of Fitch Group, a global leader in financial information services with operations in more than 30 countries. Fitch is owned by Hearst and has dual headquarters in London and New York.The BRM team focuses on originating new business, raising the Fitch brand, and developing relationships with corporate issuers and intermediaries in the Nordic region and wider EMEA.ResponsibilitiesOriginate new business by developing a network of intermediaries (DCM, Syndicate, and origination) and by directly pitching to corporate issuer targets, including rated and unrated entities.Map Fitch’s EMEA intermediary coverage and collaborate with peers covering intermediaries in London.Understand Fitch Ratings’ positioning in the non-financial Corporates market and identify and prioritize targets to maximize opportunities.Develop a good understanding of the credit rating landscape and articulate the benefits of Fitch to prospects.Manage a small portfolio of Nordic-based corporate issuer relationships in the first year of acquisition.Collaborate with Marketing Research Associates on the production of marketing pitchbooks and other engagement materials for target issuers.Execute engagements, including contract negotiations with external counterparties and preparation of Engagement Letters, Confidentiality Agreements, and Hold Harmless Letters for rating mandates.Bring creative ideas to marketing, e.g., tailored webinars and marketing campaigns.Frequent travel around the Nordics to support business development and marketing activities.What You Need To HaveUnderstanding of corporate finance and the changing debt capital markets landscape, including Investment Grade, High Yield, and Leveraged Finance, preferably from an origination or advisory role.Ability to develop revenues from both established and self-managed prospect lists; strong communication skills at senior levels; marketing and interpersonal strengths; track record of developing commercial relationships.Excellent English, with proficiency in Swedish and/or another Scandinavian language.Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate confidently with treasurers and CFOs.Demonstrated capability to originate new business and to work independently while developing and implementing market strategy.Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Team-oriented with the ability to build internal and external relationships.What Would Make You Stand OutUnderstanding of credit analysis and the role of credit ratings in capital markets.Established local and international banker relationships in the Nordics and established corporate Treasurer / CFO relationships in the Nordics.Having contacts outside the Nordics would be beneficial.University degree in business or related discipline; other professional qualifications (e.g., MBA) are advantageous.Why Choose FitchHybrid work environment: 3 days a week in office.Culture of learning and mobility: training, leadership development, mentorship programs.Retirement planning and tuition reimbursement.Comprehensive healthcare offerings for physical, mental, financial, social, and occupational wellbeing.Family-friendly policies, including generous parental leave.Inclusive work environment with Employee Resource Groups.Paid volunteer days and matched donations.Fitch is committed to providing global securities markets with objective, timely, independent and forward-looking credit opinions.
