The Directorate Finance Manager reports to the Head of Financial Management and is responsible for delivering high quality financial management advice and guidance to officers, members and partners. You will be joining a well‑regarded dedicated finance team that encourages innovative and creative thinking, a positive supportive and proactive work environment, with regular feedback, recognition and development opportunities. Flexible/hybrid working arrangements are available. Responsibilities • Deliver high quality financial management advice and guidance. • Prepare and monitor budgets, provide advice and close the accounts in a complex, customer‑focused environment. • Liaise with partners such as the South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. • Organise, motivate and inspire a committed team of seven people. • Support the Council’s Executive Director of Adults, Health and Wellbeing and the Director of Public Health throughout the full financial cycle. • Communicate complex information to non‑finance professionals to inform decisions. Qualifications

Professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA or equivalent). Proven track record of successfully preparing and monitoring budgets in a complex and customer‑focused environment. Strong leadership skills to manage, motivate and inspire a team.
