Grade B - £39,784 or up to £49,477 based on experience(National) or £45,456 or up to £55,149 based on experience (London - for London office based or home-based workers within the boundary of the M25)– There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £581 per annum for those working from home. Please note for part time roles – this will be pro rata.

As a Discovery & Disclosure Manager, you’ll play a an integral role in ensuring CQC meets its Rule 9 legal deadlines and’ that our records are both managed and disclosed in a timely and effective manner to support public inquiries and investigations which will make recommendations to help improve health and social care.

You will be responsible for and lead the way in how CQC responds to information requests from public inquiry ensuring that our information is accessible, any disclosure of our records accurate, , and securely managed. You’ll be at the centre of fast paced and meaningful work that will supports transparency, accountability and delivery of better services to the public. .At CQC as a Discovery & Disclosure Manager in the Legal Services directorate,you will get the chance to:
•Lead on the design and delivery of differing discovery and search strategies t that support a range of multiple major public inquiries and investigations.
•Implement the application of disclosure strategies by working across legal and wider CQC to ensure we transfer information in a timely way to comply with our inquiry specified obligations
•Opportunity to work beyond inquiries and legal (KIM, Facilities etc) to improve systems for future inquiry needs, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
The role
You’ll be key in helping us deliver our work. In this role, you’ll:
•Lead records management strategy: Provide expert advice and services to ensure CQC meets its current and future legal obligations for public inquiries and investigations.
•Lead on the end-to-end discovery and disclosure processes – retrieval to submission - rom the point of obtaining a Rule 9 request from an inquiry
•Devise discovery processes: Create effective e-discovery strategies for Rule 9 purposes and ensure we have secure and document sharing across platforms.
•Deliver our disclosure obligations. Work with the wider legal team to ensure that we facilitate the transfer of the documents as per the inquiry ask (including exhibits, indexing etc.
•Collaborate across teams: Work with internal stakeholders to embed strong records management practices into projects and systems and an opportunity to work beyond inquiries and legal (KIM , Facilities etc ) to ensure that business decisions take account of inquiry obligations.

We’ll be looking for the following skills, knowledge and experience in your application form:
•Experience leading records management: Demonstrate how you’ve delivered or led records management services or knowledge information management services in the public sector or within public inquiries.
•Knowledge of legislation and compliance: Show your understanding of GDPR, FOI, the Inquiries Act, and how these apply to records management.
•Ability to communicate complex information: Provide examples of how you’ve translated technical or legal language into clear, accessible guidance or reports.
