Job Description

We are working with an established Hard FM & Projects contractor to appoint a Divisional Director. You will hold full strategic and operational responsibility for the business including P&L ownership, service delivery, compliance, commercial performance, and growth.

The role will be equally split between operational leadership, compliance and productivity but will also have a large element of business growth and strategic expansion. Key accountabilities include

Define and execute the Hard FM business strategy aligned with overall company objectives Lead long-term planning, investment decisions, and market positioning Identify and develop new service lines, sectors, and growth opportunities within new and existing clients Harness and develop a data and tech platform to drive productivity and efficiency Represent the Hard FM business at board level and with key stakeholders Oversee delivery of hard FM services including M&E, HVAC, electrical, gas, water, fire & life safety, building fabric, and statutory compliance Ensure consistent service quality, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement Implement robust governance, reporting, and performance management frameworks Drive standardisation and best practice across contracts and regions Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin control Drive revenue growth through contract renewals, upselling, and new business wins Lead pricing, bid strategy, and commercial negotiations for major contracts Manage cost control, supply chain performance, and capital expenditure Develop and foster long term strategic partnerships with senior & exec level customers Work closely with the work winning function to identify and develop business growth projects Cultivate a best in class delivery culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the management and delivery team
